Handmade beaded jewelry by local artist, Isabelle Coats.
Materials:
- gold plated and colored seed beads, amazonite beads, gold filled clasp and extender chain
- 16 ½” with 1” extender
Isabelle started making beaded jewelry about 8 years ago as a creative outlet and to find balance between her science-oriented job, her passion to create, and her interest in all things related to design. She recently transitioned into making jewelry and working in the arts and crafts field full-time. She is inspired by patterns and shapes in nature and architecture, as shown through her three dimensional work with seed beads. She is local to Santa Cruz and has previously lived in the Southeast, Southern California, and the Midwest. She has traveled widely and grew up in South Africa and Germany.
Her pieces mainly use seed beads, but designs also incorporate handblown glass beads, vintage beads, and pearls.
Metal components are either sterling silver or 14 karat gold-filled, which are hypo-allergenic and can be cleaned with a jewelry polishing cloth. Glass beads can be gently wiped with a soft moistened cloth.
