California Love | Reduction Screen Prints & Paintings

Jim Winters is a California graphic artist living in Santa Cruz.  Jim's prints and paintings of Santa Cruz and San Francisco aspire to reflect the appeal of these places. He appreciates their many sides and feels lucky to call them home for the past 30+ years and finds the mundane locations as interesting and eye-catching as the coastal scenery.  Less conventional "beauty" everywhere.  

Jim first learned to screen print in the early 1980's and his favorite is the reduction screen print. If you're not familiar with this method of screen printing Jim has a documentary explaining the process.
