Oakland artist Mark Poulin makes this piece by kiln firing four coats of vitreous enamel at 1400 degrees on to a sterling silver earring casting that he carves from wax and had molded for production. Then he apply one of his original drawings that he has screen printed with enamel and fire that on top for a waterproof, durable and vibrant finished piece of jewelry. There are a lot of steps and details that go into this process.
The charm measures 3/4 of an inch tall and comes on an adjustable sterling chain that can be latched on any link between 16 and 20 inches.
