Laurie Pollpeter Eskenazi has spent more than 30 years working in clay, building a visual language from crazy quilts, old lace, buttons, embroidery, and antique textiles. Her medium ceramic hearts are hand built in stoneware, then glazed with small brushes to pull out every bit of pattern and texture. They feel nostalgic without feeling precious — colorful, tactile, and a little unexpected.
