Maggie’s Garden draws from a 1930 woodcut by Australian modernist Margaret Preston, celebrated for her bold depictions of native plants and striking graphic style. Strong lines and stylized blossoms give this composition a lively rhythm that feels both vintage and fresh. Rendered in Motawi’s signature raised-line technique, each 6×8 handcrafted tile holds pools of glaze in Mint, Green, or Blue colorways that let Maggie’s blooms spring to life. Motawi Tileworks makes each piece by hand in Ann Arbor, Michigan, continuing the studio tradition Nawal Motawi began in 1992.
