Modern Printed Matter cards are the work of Anna Cote, a self-taught graphic designer based in Rhode Island. She launched her first line of greeting cards in 2005. Initially it was a creative outlet from her Environmental Engineering career, but it quickly became her obsession. Less than a year after it's launch, she quit her day job to run Modern Printed Matter full-time. Juggling motherhood and a business is chaos at times, but Anna tries to find humor in it all. When she's not chasing around two little boys, she's jotting down card ideas, phrases that make her laugh, and taking pictures of natural surroundings for inspiration. Her mission is to help keep the tradition of handwritten correspondence alive, and to spread a little laughter around with it. All cards are printed on 100% PCW recycled paper (no new trees) and are paired with 100% recycled kraft envelopes and packaged in biodegradable and compostable clear sleeves that are made from plant material. Whenever possible, cards are shipped in reuseable boxes and packing paper. Cards are printed with a digital printing company in NY that have been a White Badge partner with TerraPass since 2009. They have purchased over 200 metric tons of Offsets and Renewable Energy Credits.
Size A2 (4.25" x 5.5"). Printed in the USA on heavy 100% PCW recycled paper. Paired with a 100% recycled brown kraft envelope. Packaged in a biodegradable cello sleeve.
