Born in Paris, Marie Gabrielle studied textile design and worked as a designer and colorist before moving to California, where a first watercolor class began a lifelong passion for the medium. Color and natural light are central to her work, especially in landscapes shaped by flowers, fields, and the changing seasons. Most of her paintings are created en plein air, and her work is internationally recognized and collected. Marie lives in Santa Cruz with her family and spends as much time as possible in Provence, France.
