Pattern is the heart of Laurie Pollpeter Eskenazi’s work. Drawing on crazy quilts, antique textiles, lace, buttons, and family memories of generations of needleworkers, she builds richly textured stoneware that feels both old-fashioned and completely its own. Each small ceramic heart is layered with impressions and finished with Laurie’s lush, carefully worked glazes.
