Small but full of character, this handcrafted twist-top wooden box from Canary Hill Works is made from domestic hardwoods and finished by hand. Woodworker Timothy Hill has been making things from wood since age 12 and earned a bachelor's degree in Furniture Design at Buffalo State. While his work has ranged from furniture to fine cabinetry, small boxes are a craft he always returns to.
Each box is cut and sanded by Timothy and finished by his wife, using domestic hardwoods such as hard maple, cherry, and walnut. The striped twist-top design—made from re-sawn strips of reclaimed wood—creates a striking, minimalist aesthetic that's both functional and beautiful.
