Fern Earrings takes its shape from fern fronds, giving earrings a sculptural, just-picked-from-the-garden quality. Michael Michaud creates his molds directly from real leaves, branches and flowers, using a process related to lost-wax casting. The original plant matter disappears in the heat, but its veins, edges and surface detail remain in the finished form. Handcrafted in New York, the finished piece has plenty of garden personality without feeling precious. Bronze with gold accents.
