This handmade botanical necklace by Joanna Lynn Taylor begins with real plants and Arizona sunshine. Joanna arranges native leaves, stems, and petals on specially treated paper to create original cyanotype photograms, then cuts the distinctive blue-and-white images into small pieces and builds each pendant using paper, epoxy resin, and hammered silver.
Part of her Desert Arboretum collection, each piece features imagery inspired by iconic Southwestern plants such as mesquite, palo verde, turpentine bush, and creosote. Finished with an 18-inch silver chain, each necklace is a wearable connection to nature, place, and memory—and no two are exactly alike.
