This cup is a combination of two moments in my life. Sometime around 2015 I arrived at a studio I was renting in town and felt very uninspired. So I picked up a Joseph Campbell book and the next thing I knew I was brimming with energy, with pens and paper flying in all directions. And I wrote the sentence “Trust what catches your souls attention” Around that same time I came upon a story of Macha, a Celtic goddess. Every day after the chores were done, she would follow a footpath up and over the hills and turn into a horse and run with herd. This cup combines two elements of that time when we are done with the to-do list (or haven’t started working on it yet!) and we have slipped into something of fur or feather, and we are roaming the lands of our soul. Inspired by the work of others- adding our bit to the great common wealth of being alive in a glorious way.
